Filters are there for a reason. There are lots of different types of filters—some that last one, two, three, or more months, some that are reusable, some that are scented, etc. The choice is yours, but it’s vitally important that you make sure they’re clean and changed regularly.
It’s also important to get the right size of filter. When in doubt, it’s a safer bet to go with a larger filter than a smaller one; a filter that pokes out of the unit will still work, but one that’s too small is no good at all.
On all disposable filters, you’ll find an arrow on the side that points toward the unit, which is the direction of the airflow.
