Here are the four reasons that make fall a prime season to sell your home.
First, fall buyers are more serious. People who are out looking for homes after school has started are people who either want to move up and stay in the same school pyramid or are transitioning into our area, which means they’re definitely ready to buy.
Second, you’ll face less competition. Not as many homes will be on the market, so if you’ve got a great house, a lot of buyers will want to buy it.
“If someone’s trying to buy a home in the fall instead of the spring, there’s usually a good reason for that.”
Third, fall brings a different buyer demographic. As we touched in the first point, if someone’s trying to buy a home in the fall instead of the spring, there’s usually a good reason for that. A lot of leases tend to be up in fall, for instance.
Lastly, there’s more flexibility for home improvements. Fall buyers will be less critical toward your home and be more open to doing home improvement projects themselves.
